What is an NPT conduit?
This term was introduced in 1979 by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to define the types of conduits, and thus how they are regulated.
NPT (New Nuclear Technology) conduit refers to pipe that is constructed using nuclear technology and is connected to an electrical power source by a conductor of nuclear material, usually lead.
Npt conduit is the standard for NPT power plants and is typically used in residential and commercial buildings.
The term is a trademark of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
